Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course pre-service biology teachers get a theoretical and practical introduction into project based learning and Inquiry Based Science Education in connection with field biology. The thematic frame is wetlands, birds and amphibians. Within the course the pre-service teachers will develop and carry out a school project in cooperation with the students of a secondary school class and reflect on their experiences.

- Gaining theoretical and practical knowledge on project based learning in connection
with field biology (within the thematic frame: wetlands, birds and amphibians)
- Developing and applying the method of project based learning within a school
- get to know and apply different approaches to inquiry based science education
- Practicing the reflective skills to further the professional development
- Learning to work in a Community of Practice with the aim to further the professional development
