Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Topic of this seminar, which will be held in English, is the most recent primary literature in microbial ecology and evolution. Participants will be asked to present a brief summary of selected research publications and to critically evaluate their contents. Subsequently, strengths and weaknesses of the presented literature will be extracted in a joint discussion.
Assessment and permitted materials
Continuous assessment of course work. Quality and completeness of the seminar presentation; participation in the scientific discussion of the presented publications.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Presentation and discussion of recently published studies in molecular microbial ecology.
Examination topics
Computer-aided presentation of research papers. Goals: Introduction to the scientific discussion of current research in microbial ecology.
