Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This lecture series offers insights into the sociobiology, ecology and evolution of ants as a dominant animal group in almost all terrestrial ecosystems. A particular focus is placed on the manifold interactions between different ant species (e.g. social parasitism) as well as between ants and other organisms such as animals, plants, fungi (e.g. trophobiosis).
Assessment and permitted materials
examination in writing (duration: 90 min); 6 (open) questions with 5 points each, maximum total: 30 points

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
50 % of points required to pass the exam. Grade 4: 50-62.5%; grade 3: 62.5-75%; grade 2: 75-87.5%; grade 1: 87.5-100%.
