Classes
First meeting will be on the 8th of October 2019, 18:00 in the seminary room Cell (Ebene 1, Spange 4, UZA I) – the first lecture will also be in the frame of this first meeting. Attendance is required.
In the time period from 9th October 2019 and 6th November 2019, 2 further lectures (in the evening) and one excursion to the Carnivorous Plant collection of the Bundesgärten Schönbrunn (half day in the morning) will take place – upon accordance.
The practical blocked part of the course will be form Thursday 7th of November till Tuesday 12th of November (including Saturday and Sunday) from 9-18:00 in UZA 1, Althanstraße 14.
Finally two further seminary dates will follow (December 2019 – Febuary 2020) – date upon accordance.

In the frame of this lab course we explore the trapping mechanisms by cinematic techniques, analyse morphology and anatomy of the traps, investigate structure and function of the glands and observe the absorption of digested animal substances. The ecological situation of the plants is discussed and analysed.
The results from the course are than summarized in a written protocol and presented in the frame of a seminar.
