Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Based on theoretical and practical units, different methods regarding behavioural physiological research questions in rodents are presented (e.g., oestrous cycle monitoring, blood glucose measurements, measurements of oxygen consumption, body temperature measurements, hormone analyses, behavioural phenotyping, behavioural coding, bioacoustic analyses, statistical analyses). Several short data collections are carried out in small groups with subsequent statistical analysis of the data. The results of individual research questions should be summarized in a written scientific report and presented

Assessment and permitted materials

Writing of a scientific report on the presented methods with regard to a topic of choice and its presentation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Presence and participation in the theoretical and practical units, writing of a scientific report and its presentation.
