Specific topics about habitat selection, abundance and distribution, diversity and life history strategies of fish are discussed and practically implemented. The course is subdivided in three parts. The first theoretical part includes the reading, presentation and discussion of selected examples from the literature, as well as the discussion, planning and creation of a sampling design. Additionally the design of a protocoll sheet for the field work and for the computer-based data analyses and interpretation will be created.
