Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Introductory course to theoretical biology and evolutionary theory. The student will be introduced to the basics of scientific thinking and work, as well as to some of the leading theories in evolutionary biology.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written essay of 1-2 pages, analysing a scientific work, applying the analytical principles learned in the course. Important: not a summary of a provided paper!
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The correspondence of the written text with the course content and the critical discussion of the themes, theories, and concepts will be evaluated.
