Aims, contents and method of the course

Praxis oriented and interactive lecture about the following issues:
Functioning of the legal system in Austria
The way how law is created
Structure and implementation of nature conservation law
Conservation law in the European Union
Nature related law in Austria

Assessment and permitted materials

written exam on the content of the lesson (PowerPoint Slides,handouts and oral comments), four dates, 100 points possible, beginning with 50 points obtained a positive mark will be given

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To provide a solid understanding for
- general structures of law and in particular of nature conservation law
- interrelations between international, European, national and local legal levels
- inter- and transdisciplinary connections of law with other knowledge disciplines
To transfer the interest and joy in legal issues

Examination topics

PowerPoint-Presentation, Handouts, individual work with legal text, interactive work in small groups
