Aims, contents and method of the course

On the basis of faunistic and ecological case studies the specific ecological situation of "Amazonia" is presented. Historical as well as recent studies on the aquatic and terrestrial ecology are discussed regarding biodiversity as well as developmental and conservational aspects. (lecture)
