General: Atoms, molecules, ions; Periodic properties, Stochiometry; Chemical bonding; Intermolecular forces; Gases, liquids, solids; Thermochemistry; Kinetics; Chemical equilibrium; Acids and Bases; Oxidations and Reductions.
Organic: Alkanes; Alkenes; Cycloalkanes; Polyenes; Alkynes; Principles in stereochemistry; Aromatics, Alcohols; Ethers; Aldehydes and Ketons; Carbonic acids and derivatives; Amines; Biomolecules: Carbohydrates; Amino acids , peptides, proteins; Lipids.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam in the lecture hall; 2 hours; using a simple calculator and a model of a tetraeder is allowed; minimum 14,75 out of 30 Points to pass; dates in feb, april/may, june and sept. (see moodle)
