Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Identification of species, spieces diversity, life forms and reproductive strategies (pollination, mating systems and dispersal) of ferns and flowering plants in specific ecosystems (plant functional traits).

Assessment and permitted materials

Commitment in field work, analysis, presentation (altogether 40%), and protocols (60%)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Advanced skills in species determination, knowledge on diversity, understanding reproductive biology, life and growth forms in their ecological context.

Examination topics

Collecting qualitative and metric data (mostly in the field), macro- and microscopic analysis, scientific drawing, statistical analysis, literature.
