Aims, contents and method of the course

The lectures on behavioural biology will start with fishes, followed in May by whales and dolphins. The role played by sensory modalities (vision, sound, vibration, electroreception, olfaction) in the behaviour of each animal group will be discussed. This will be followed by a review of key topics in behavioural ecology (foraging, competition, mating, parental care, migration).
The final exams are oral and can be arranged anytime.
