Aims, contents and method of the course

Project-oriented course, where students learn about recent and fossil pollen and spores, including ultrastructure, development and function (using LM, TEM, SEM).

Continuous cooperation during the course
Presentation of an individual protocol (written and oral presentation)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Getting familiar with the most important features of pollen grains and spores.
Knowledge of pollen and spore development

Examination topics

Lectures and practicals. The students study for themselves the features of pollen grains and spores with LM, SEM and TEM.
