Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Using birds and insects as target groups, we will address a number of topical questions in tropical biodiversity research and functional ecology. To attain that goal, small teams (2-3 students) will pursue individual research projects.

Assessment and permitted materials

A written report has to be submitted after the end of the course. This report must be written in English.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Understanding of important topics in tropical biodiversity research and ecology; field methods in animal ecology; assembly and analysis of quantitative data; application of multivariate statistical methods
