Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Better understanding of the vertebrate skull morphology in a functional and evolutionary framework.

Assessment and permitted materials

Compulsatory attendance. In certain cases, one day can be missed. Drawings of the dissected specimens (Weighting: 70%) and oral examination on the last day of the course (Weighting: 30%).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

In this course, students will learn the basic comparative anatomy of basal vertebrates and at the end, they will be capable of the calculation of basic mophometric analyses.

Examination topics

On several days, lectures of selected topics will be given. Afterwards, the dissections will be carried out.
