Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

This course focuses on 3D (CT) image manipulation and segmentation by means of Amira 5.6 (Mercury Computer Systems, Chelmsford, MA), the latter being a procedure for the identification and isolation of the various materials represented in the image volume data. The students will learn also other techniques of image data manipulation, such as cropping, flipping, translating, reorienting, producing a surface, fitting a cutting plane, setting landmarks, creating curves. An introduction on some features of the EVAN toolbox (i.e., landmark collection, sliding curve and surface semilandmarks; http://evan-society.org) will be given. Language of instruction: English
