Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course provides an introduction to basic mathematical concepts, which are required for further studies in theoretical biology, population genetics, statistics, morphometrics, bioinformatics etc. The topics will be repeated and treated in more depth by practical exercises and examples. The software Mathematica will be introduced and applied for calculations and visualizations.

Minimum requirements for passing the course:
- Active participation in practical part and personal attendance (you may miss max. 2 sessions [please inform the instructor ahead of time]) (50%)- Final exam (50%)
The final grade consists of a combination of the above mentioned evaluation criteria (percentage in parentheses)
