NO PRE-MEETING, START IS THE FIRST EXCURSION
1st excursion: Saturday 05.10.2024, 9:30-14:00. Meeting point: 9:30 punctually at the car park at the end of Maurer Lange Gasse. Arrival with tram 60 (direction Rodaun) from Hietzing (U4) to the stop Maurer Lange Gasse (one stop after stop Maurer Hauptplatz). Then walk uphill through Maurer Lange Gasse to the car park (approx. 15 min).
Alternatively, take bus 60A (direction Wien Liesing) from Atzgersdorf to the Kaserngasse stop (departure in Atzgersdorf at the Schnellbahn station).
Hike through the Maurerwald: thermophilic mixed oak forests on the border Flysch-Kalkstein-Wienerwald. Bring warm shoes and clothing as well as rain protection! When picking mushrooms, you usually move slowly. Walk through the Maurerwald. Final Meeting at approx. 1 pm at the car park.
2nd excursion: Saturday 12.10.2024, 10:05-16:00 hrs.
Meeting point: 10:05 at Rekawinkel station. Arrival with S 50 from Wien Westbahnhof possible: from 09:28 Westbahnhof, 10:05 to Rekawinkel.
3rd excursion: Saturday 19.10.2024, 9:30-ca. 14 Uhr
Meeting point: 9:30 a.m., in the north-eastern part of the Perchtoldsdorfer Heide, by the information boards. Find discussion there at around 12:00 p.m. The meeting point can be reached via Doktor-Gorlitzer-Gasse. At the upper end of the alley = northern end of Lohnsteinstraße, climb the stairs between the rehabilitation center and the water supply system and continue straight ahead along the path through the ditch. After a few meters, the meeting point (= location of the final meeting) is on the right of the path by the information boards.

The Perchtoldsdorfer Heide is a valuable and protected habitat for many rare species. Dogs must be kept on a leash and collecting their droppings is obligatory.
