Techniques will include applications of image processing and analysis software to 2- and 3-D images, 3-D image reconstruction and visualisation, and 3-D modeling.
Assessment and permitted materials
Based on attendance, participation, project proposal, and final presentation.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students will learn to write a project proposal, carry out a small research project, and how to present the results, while learning techniques and applications of 3D microscopic imaging.
Examination topics
Seminar discussions, independent reading, and small-group work with instructors.
