Class will meet weekly on Wednesdays 10:15 in the Theoretical Biology Imaging Lab (UZA I, Ebene 2, Spange 3). First class meeting is Wed. 2 March.

Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Based on participation (10%), project proposal (20%), and final presentation (20%) and report (50%).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students will learn to write a project proposal, carry out a small research project, and how to present the results, while learning techniques and applications of 3D microscopic imaging.
Examination topics
Seminar discussions, independent reading, and small-group work with instructors.
Reading list
Literature specific to each project will be chosen by the instructors and students during development of the projects.
