Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This application-oriented field course aims at analysing the interaction of vegetation, fauna and land management in a selected landscape. By working in small groups particular tasks, such as the documentation of vegetation or the identification of significant land use and land management types and their influence on the animal world, are addressed. Thus, basic knowledge on methodology is imparted. Working at different stations by the day during this field course enables every participant to approach and to apply different working methods. The weeklong field course will be followed by an analysis and presentation workshop at the University of Vienna, where the results of the project will be summed up and presented.
