Aims, contents and method of the course

Tropical rain forests maintain the world's richest terrestrial biota. This lecture series will address how this high biodiversity evolved and how it is maintained. Case studies will demonstrate how species adapted to this tropical environment and how they interact with each other. The understanding of such processes will be fundamental for the management and conservation of tropical forests.

Assessment and permitted materials

The exams are held as written exams. Further details and additional exam dates will be announced in good time.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

At least 16 points (out of 31 possible maximum) will be necessary to successfully pass the written exam.
