This special course offers training for identification of Austrian rotifers. It includes theory on morphology and anatomy, biology and ecology, geographical distribution, economic value, systematics and phylogeny of the group. The laboratory work includes observation of living animals and narkotizing, preparation technics, mastax analyse and identification of Monogonta and Bedelloidea. Sampling technics of rotifers of plankton, benthos and semi-terrestric habitats is shown.
Exam: 3 hrs. with questions about theory and identification of the species of one sample.
