Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course deals with entomological field methods, preparation and conservation of insects. Professional techniques as for example preparation of beetles, stretching of tropical butterflies or pading of grasshoppers are demonstrated. The knowledge of such techniques is an important basis as well for any taxonomical treatment as for preservation and restoration of old insect collections (e.g. in schools).

Examination topics
detailed lecture, demonstration of preparation techniques (ground) beetle, tropical butterfly, migratory locust) and supervision of the course participants
