Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This practical will exemplify key molecular and genetic tools in ecology and evolution, such as DNA sequencing, widely used PCR-based genetic markers, as well as cytogenetic, phylogenetic and population genetic analysis methods using different computer programs. It will also offer a basic introduction to NGS data analyses. Students will get a chance to work hands-on with these tools and programs, to understand the concepts involved, and to practice interpretation of results.
Assessment and permitted materials
Active participation in the practical 4 points, 4 short tests together 16 points, thus totalling 20 points.
Credit key: <10 points: 5; 10-11.9 points: 4; 12-14.9 points: 3; 15-17.9 points 2; 18-20 points: 1.
