The 5-day-long field excursion will take place in August either in the area around Vienna or in Carnic Alps depending on the epidemiological situation.
The preliminary meeting will be held online on Thursday, 4.03, 11:00-12:00. Attending the online meeting is a prerequisite for the participation in the excursion.The cost of the excursion will be no more than 200€.Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The students learn geological and palaeontological field methods (e.g. logging and describing geological outcrops).Equipment for geological-paleontological fieldwork (field notebook, sturdy shoes, hammer, magnifying glass, pencils etc.), as well as sun protection and rain protection clothing is required.
Assessment and permitted materials
Active participation in the fieldwork, drawing and submitting geological logs, submitting a report, final discussion
