Dear Confocal Course Participants,
Yesterday we have been informed that a somehow "normalized" teaching business will not be implemented before MIDST OF MAY!!All kind of teaching where personal and physical attendance is mandatory - as is true for laboratory courses (this also includes our course) - shall become postponed.As of today, this means we MUST POSTPONE the course with estimated begin dates in the direction of summer. In clean words, NOT BEFORE JUNE 2020. We were also advised to streamline the course contents and possible have a "shortened" course version in summer.We DO understand, that this will be true for most of the courses you planned to attend and your time schedule will become tightened.We cannot come up with a detailed new schedule, as we also have to wait for developments and how our teaching, research obligations will become re-distributed.Still, I want to come up with two possible schedule solutions in the coming days. Plans for the course for June and July dates will be presented to you. Finally, it will be up to you, if these new dates may be convenient or if you probably want to resign. Aims, contents and method of the course
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The aim of the course is to give theoretical and practical support to students, who are or will in the near future be involved with light microscopical experiments within their Master/PhD/post-doc studies. The small groups (2 people) will allow to advice students somehow personally for their planned experimental approaches.
