Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Contents: Within the seminar, selected problems from the following important areas of inorganic chemistry will be discussed: nomenclature, equations, concentrations, stoichiometry, redox equations, solubility products, acids and bases, buffer systems and qualitative analysis.
Targets: This seminar should lead to a better understanding of the central part of chemical calculations in all areas of chemistry. Equation pathways, nomenclature of inorganic compounds as well as calculations of selected chemical problems form an essential part of this seminar.
Marking: The final mark consists of 40 points exercises, 5 points presentation and 35 points of the final exam. At least 45 of all points are necessary to pass the seminar.
