The positive examination of the lecture Basics of Neuroscience is a requirement.
A maximum of 12 students can attend.
Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Nine research units are prepared to lead small groups of students (max. 12). The topics covered are i) neuroanatomy/histology; ii) biochemistry and pharmacology of nerve conduction; iii) electrophysiology; iv) the sensory system; v) cellular neurobiology; vi) disorders of the nervous system; vii) neuroimmunology; viii) cognitive neuroscience; ix) molecular biology of the nervous system.
Assessment and permitted materials
The evaluation consists of different performances: active participation and small written tests at the end of each laboratory course. The final grade is the average of the nine evaluations during the laboratory tutorials.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Learning theory and praxis of techniques used in neuroscience research.
