By analysis of plasma and tissue samples of patients undergoing chemo-therapy, the fate of antineoplastic drugs (pharmacokinetics) and their metabolites can be determined. By this it is possible to: 1. establish individual dosage regimens, 2. introduce new polychemotherapeutic regimens, 3. verify drug interactions. Further, in-vitro experiments (human hepatocytes, cancer cell lines, enzyme reactions etc.) are performed to obtain more detailed information about drug metabolism.
