Aims, contents and method of the course

Selected Aspects of carbohydrate chemistry related to: organic-chemical syntheses and biosynthetic mechanisms of monosaccharides, disaccharides, oligosaccharides and polysaccharides. Biologically active Oligosaccharides. Carbohydrates in nutrition and pharmacy. Carbohydrates and their role in pharmaceutical technology. Future potentials of carbohydrates in the field of "green chemistry".
