Objectives of the course:
The students
• develop a comprehensive overview of the special features of the use of drugs during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Can provide objective advice to patients during pregnancy and breastfeeding on drug risks and point out treatment alternatives.
• develop a comprehensive overview of the special features of the use of drugs in advanced age and in multimorbid patients.
• Can critically question the medication of these patients and point out treatment alternatives.
• know the specifics of pharmacotherapy in elderly patients, patients during pregnancy.
• Can advise patients with special requirements regarding drug therapy.
• are able to advise multimorbid patients on side effects and drug interactions.
• are able to advise patients on pharmacotherapy and possible alternatives during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Can make decisions regarding drug selection and dosage for patients with special needs and argue them.
• contribute to increasing compliance in patients with special demands on pharmacotherapy.
• Can answer dose-related questions in patients with special pharmacokinetics.
• are able to conduct consultations with patients with special treatment requirements.
