Aims, contents and method of the course

Im Rahmen des Seminars vertiefen wir die Themen der Vorlesungen Global Nutrition und Welternährung. Jeder Teilnehmer hat die Aufgabe ein Thema vertiefend zu behandeln und im Referat vorzustellen. Die Texte sind überwiegend Englisch. Die Referate können optional auf Deutsch oder Englisch gehalten werden.

Assessment and permitted materials

To pass the seminar, students need a 50% score
30 % active participation
30 % Presentation
20 % Powerpoint
20 % Handout

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Main objective is to treat some of the Topics from the lecutre "Blobal Nutrition" in - depth. In Addition, critical reading of scientific publications to develop own ideas, pros and cons of certain research methods

Examination topics

Presenations by students, participatory rural appraisal and Project cycle Management, excursion to relevant organisations in Vienna
