Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course amends the theoretical background of the students regarding the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins with laborchemical analyses and anthropometical measurements in order to determine the body composition, the analysis of unknown samples and the determination of body composition.
Assessment and permitted materials
The grading consists of work performed in the laboratory (35%), the anthropometric part (20%) and the final examination (45%, multiple choice, open-end questions, chemical arithmetic).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
To pass the course, an overall performance of at least 60% has to be reached.
Examination topics
Laborchemical analytics as well as quantitative analytics by means of photometry and
anthropometric measurements.
