Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course amends the theoretical background of the students regarding the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins with laborchemical analyses and anthropometical measurements in order to determine the body composition and the analysis of unknown samples.

Assessment and permitted materials

The grading consists of work performed in the laboratory, the anthropometric part and the final examination (multiple choice, open-end questions, chemical arithmetic), as well as obligatory e-learning sections ("Lernpfade").

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

• Laboratory incl. collaboration (35%)
• Anthropometric part (20%)
• Final examination (45%)
• Lernpfade and homework (collaboration)

To pass the course, an overall performance of at least 60% has to be reached.

[0-60) % : Nicht Genügend
[60-70) %: Genügend
[70-80) %: Befriedigend
[80-90) %: Gut
≥ 90 %: Sehr gut

Examination topics

Laborchemical analytics as well as quantitative analytics by means of photometry, anthropometric measurements and “Lernpfade”.
