Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to basic physical measurements and to the estimation of experimental errors in mechanics, physics of fluids, thermodynamics, electricity (resistors and impedances) and optics selected for students of the Nutritional Sciences.

Assessment and permitted materials

6 short tests and a final test with 2 questions from each of the topics. The written lab diary is also graded by the teachers.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Learn to use simple measurement equipment, data evaluation and critical assessment of the reliabiltiy of numerical results.

Examination topics

The course is divided into 8 units. 7 units are dedicated to basic physics experiments that must be described in experimental reports. The 8th unit is a final test.
