Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The following statistical topics/methods are covered and illustrated by examples: Types of studies and experimental design, regression, nonparametric tests, and multiple testing. The use of statistical software (R) is also demonstrated.
Assessment and permitted materials
Due to the current measures to end the SARS CoV-2 epidemic, the exam will take place as oral online exam. No externail aids, except for a calculator, are allowed. Each candidate will be asked questions out of three thematic areas of the lecture contents. In each area, up to 8 points can be achieved. Hence, the total number of points that can be achieved is 24.
The maximal number of points is 24, for a positive grade at least 12 points need to be achieved. For a positive grade at least 12 points need to be achieved.
(Previously and after the end of the corrent measures: Written exam with questions asking for numeric calculations and theoretical questions. A collection of required formulas and a calculator may be used during the exam. The maximal number of points is 24, for a positive grade at least 12 points need to be achieved.)
