Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Mid-term test (30%), end-of-term test (30%), home assignments (20%), participation in class and online activities (20%). Students are allowed to use monolingual dictionaries (no electronic devices) during the tests.
UPDATE: Both tests will be conducted digitally on the days announced via Moodle. Students will download the exam sheet and have two hours to complete it and upload it to the respective folder.

Attendance is mandatory (two absences will be allowed).
An advanced level of both oral and written English is required.
Passing grade: 60%

Examination topics
Evaluation will be based on the genres and exercise formats used in class and in the online and home assignments.

Course content: developing listening comprehension strategies, critical listening and discussion skills, as well as producing spoken and written texts embedded in a specific communication situation
Teaching/learning methods (didactics): in-class listening, speaking, and writing activities (individual, pair, and group work), online activities, home assignments in oral comprehension and text production
Students will be asked to give structured feedback to their colleagues (peer review) and reflect on their own progress.
