Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziele
Entwicklung der Dolmetschkompetenzen in konkretem zweisprachigem Umfeld wie zum Beispiel Verhandlungen oder Round-Table-Gesprächen unter Einbeziehung rhetorischer Aspekte, Vertiefung der terminologischen Recherchierkompetenz

Inhalte
Simulation von Geschäftsverhandlungen im Bereich Medizin, Wirtschaft, Politik durch Abhaltung und Verdolmetschung von Impulsreferaten mit anschließenden Argumentationen der verschiedenen Standpunkte, Vorbereitung der Simulation durch Gruppenarbeit und gezieltes Teamworking

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Diese Lehrveranstaltung ist prüfungsimmanent, daher gilt strenge Anwesenheitspflicht. Im WS 2020 kann das allerdings auch Anwesenheitspflicht während des Online-Unterrichts bedeuten. Je nachdem, ob die Umstände es zulassen, wird vor Ort bzw. online unterrichtet und geübt.

Examination topics

Active participation, homework, interpretations.
Interpretations will be graded on the critera presentation (presentation style, prosodic features), form (terminology, style, other linguistic aspects) and content (correctness and coherence).

Grading:
100% – ≤90%: very good(1)
89% – ≤80%: good (2)
79% – ≤70%: satisfactory (3)
69% – ≤60%: sufficient (4)
59% – 0%: insufficient (5)
