Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Introductory lecture course on selected topics from the history and political, cultural and social life in the US and the UK; the aim of this course is to give a general understanding of some key terms and debates in the field.
Assessment and permitted materials
Exam for Module 1 students (BA 2011): multiple-choice exam (in German) as part of Module 1 Steop exam; OR exam for Module 3 students (BA 2011) and exchange students: written exam (in English) at the end of the semester; OR exam for Module 2 students (BA 2016): multiple-choice exam (in English) as part of Steop. No aids are permitted in these exams.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Pass grade for M1 exam: total M1 score of 60%; pass grade for M3 and exchange students exam: 60%; pass grade for M2 exam: 60%.

Lecture; power-point presentations.
