Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to narrative theory and stylistics against the background of (literary) translation. Students will learn to analyze literary texts from narratological and stilistic perspectives and learn how this is relevant for the translation of literary texts. Lecture with discussions.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam on the material presented in class and compulsory reading material. No aids allowed.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum for pass grade: 60%.
