Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Team and individual translations with commentary and glossary; revision of work of another team; follow-up revision of own translations; midterm and final exam; participation in class discussions.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Developing strategies for analyzing non-fiction source texts and planning target texts; research and terminology work; production and revision of translations; get to know the German-language market for non-fiction books.
Examination topics
Students will translate sections of the books, produce commentaries on their work and revise the work of their colleagues; discussions in class.
