Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Mid-term test (30%), end-of-term test (30%), home assignments (20%), participation in class and online activities (20%). Tests will take place in class, no technical tools or dictionaries allowed.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
An advanced level of both oral and written English is required.
Attendance is mandatory (two absences will be allowed).
Passing grade: 60%.
Grading scale: ≥90% = 1, ≥80% = 2, ≥70% = 3, ≥60% = 4.

Evaluation will be based on the genres and exercise formats used in class.

Course content: developing reading comprehension strategies, critical reading and discussion skills, as well as producing spoken and written texts embedded in a specific communication situation
Teaching/learning methods (didactics): in-class reading, speaking, and writing activities (individual, pair, and group work), online activities, home assignments in reading comprehension, word power enhancement, and text production
Students will be asked to give structured feedback to their colleagues (peer review) and reflect on their own progress.
