Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Seminar aimed at supporting the process of writing the master thesis. The language of the seminar and its assessment is English.
Assessment and permitted materials
Presentation of the planned MA project (30% of the final mark), seminar paper (50% of the final mark; the first chapter of the future MA dissertation), and continuous seminar attendance and active participation (20% of the final mark).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Developing and showing the competence of knowing and applying the theoretical and methodological (intellectual) tools that are relevant for writing the master thesis in light of its topic. Producing a clear and achievable MA project plan which builds on current research and furthers it in an original manner.MA colloquium pass mark
In order to pass this module, a student needs to reach the threshold of 60 points.MA colloquium marking map
90 – 100 excellent - sehr gut (1)
80 – 89 good - gut (2)
70 – 79 average - befriedigend (3)
60 – 69 sufficient - genügend (4)
0 – 59 insufficient - nicht genügend (5)
