Aims, contents and method of the course
Listening strategies (global and detail), Authentic texts taken from daily life. (focussing on Austrian German) Comparison of written and spoken language. Text production. Introduction to different text types and their characteristics.
Assessment and permitted materials
active participation, portfolio, mid-term test, final exam
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Building listening strategies for spoken language, expanding knowledge about different types of texts, working on writing skills
Examination topics
Input, pair- and groupwork, discussion, joint writing, peer-correction of texts
