Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course, students will work together through the entire project of a book translation. The translated book is to be published. Each participant will take on a section of the text of the selected book in the humanities. Together in tandem with other participants and in exchange with the whole team, we will go through rough translation, proofreading, editing - all stages until the release for printing.
Thus, students not only gain insight into professional work of a translator of humanities texts, learn research possibilities, strategies of translation work in humanities texts, but also learn how to deal with the original text author and the publisher.

Assessment and permitted materials

The individual stages of the translation as well as the cooperation within the team are included in the evaluation.
