Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The writing of a seminar paper and the abstract, as well as the oral presentations, are required in this seminar.The completion of the introductory lecture on interpreting is therefore recommended.The assessment for this course is based on a system (max. 14 points) and comprises the following components: 1) attendance and participation in the form of peer feedback (max. 3 points), 2) two short oral presentations on a method and a theory (max. 4 points) and 3) the written elaboration of a selected topic in the form of a seminar paper (max. 7 points). At least 8 points are necessary for a passing grade. The following criteria are taken into account: Structure, form, content, style and argumentation.13-14 p. = "very good" (1)

Students will develop their capacity for critical scientific thinking, particularly with regard to questions of methodology, by studying selected research questions of their own choice within the overall seminar theme on the basis of relevant literature.
Critical reflection and discussion on the state of the art for selected research questions; student presentations in class with subsequent completion of a seminar paper.
