Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Mid-term test (30%), end-of-term test (30%), home assignments (20%), participation in class and online activities (20%).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Attendance is mandatory (two absences will be allowed).
An advanced level of both oral and written English is required.
Passing grade: 60%
Grading scale: ≥90% = 1, ≥80% = 2, ≥70% = 3, ≥60% = 4

Evaluation will be based on the genres and exercise formats used in class and in the online and home assignments.

Course content: developing reading comprehension strategies, critical reading and discussion skills, as well as producing spoken and written texts embedded in a specific communication situation

Students will be asked to give structured feedback to their colleagues (peer review) and reflect on their own progress.
