Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Both historically and in each individual’s personal development language is heard and spoken long before it is read and written. This class will explore differences in the use of spoken English around the globe, in different settings, and for different purposes. It will analyse variations in oral forms of communication.
Assessment and permitted materials
The quality of the work submitted / presented.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Train students’ comprehension of spoken English with a focus on different accents, register, and content in different settings.
Examination topics
Students will work with different spoken texts in class and at home, and will be set oral and written tasks.
