Aims, contents and method of the course
Listening comprehension, speaking and writing skills
Assessment and permitted materials
Regular attendance is required. Students' grades will reflect their performance on work done in class, homework assignments, contributions to discussions and a final exam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Improving students' comprehension of spoken English and their speaking and writing skills
Examination topics
Videos and recordings on various subject matters and featuring speakers of different varieties of English will be presented in class and serve as the basis for discussions, group activities and homework assignments. Students will be expected to contribute in class and hand in written homework. Materials presented in class will also be made available on the Moodle platform.
